hi guys, just before christmas i ordered, amongst other things, a close ratio gearset for the race car (got to love the US exchange rate at the moment!).  Just received it the other day, and it looks very nice indeed, can't wait to put it in the car but broke my leg wake boarding over the holidays so am stuck sitting on my ass and looking at my new parts in the lounge room.
The plan was to pull out the gearbox that's in the car already, but i only rebuilt that one last year  so it would be a bit of a shame to strip it down, anyone got a 2L gearbox they want to sell?.

Sorry to hear about the leg. Hope it is healing OK. A bit of an extreme measure to avoid the trip to the Arctic Circle though.
I have a gearbox case and an early gearbox (complete) if they will fit the bill.

If I'd known better I would have known how to land the backflip!

Wait till I post some photo's of the pistons I got, not even sure I can put them in an engine the look so shiny

I'll see what I can do, pictures are not very impressive though as it was up inside the knee.

Thanks Barry, yea that might work, I'll have a chat with you about it soon

Hi Colin
who and where in the USA did you buy the gear set from as iam looking for a set as well

hope you get of the couch soon.....

Colin Byrne

Hi BoyRacer105

i got my stuff from

http://www.spruellmotorsport.com/select-marque-c-2066_22_48_2382.html

the service was pretty good, they dispatched within 24 hours and actually rang me a couple of times to make sure i got the correct parts

but watch out as you will be stung by customs because its over $1000, you should get the duty off though as its for a car over 30 years old.
