New engine parts from US

I can't compete with Evan for outright amount of parts, but thought I'd show a couple of pics of the new engine components for next years targa, once again can't do much with them at the moment, but they sure look nice.

Still need cams, but not sure what to run yet, still need to do a bit of investigation and research

72' 105 2000 GTV Red (tarmac rally/race car)
74' 105 2000 GTV Blue (road car)
68' 105 1600 Giulia Super White (Not sure yet)
01' Nissan Pathfinder (Tow car/Alfa support vehicle)

All you need now is a lucky lira.   By serendipitous happenstance,  I have one here...

Some say it was last used by Nuvolari to replace a pesky headlight fuse while chasing Varzi  in the Mille Miglia...

I don't really want to part with it, but for a price .....

Hi Col,    I have flame-hardened steel billets (from Europe, yes the same ones that cost double over there!), onto which I would put my profile: 13.25mm lift/300*@ seat/262*@1.25mm.
With my 48mm/8mm stem intake valves this will get you about as close to a 4multi-valve head as you can. This set up was good enough to win the Aust. GpS title outright in '09, and the Biante TouringCar Masters U-2.0 in '09 & '10, against 4valve opposition. So much so that the guys running a brand new  2.0 Cosworth had to take issue with the people back in the UK, because it was being beaten by a single plug Nord Alfa, built from original 40 year old block/head/crank etc.  They were convinced that the Alfa must somehow be a multi-valve under the old Nord exterior !!???

Those rods look amazing.  Awesome.  Hang them on the wall like a piece of art while your leg heals.

If you really like them that much Evan, I have Carrillos in stock, at less than it would cost you to get them from the US supplier........so maybe you can afford a set to put in a frame and just look at!!

They'll fit in a 16v boxer, right?  Awesome I'll take a set.

You could try, but I think it would cause camber issues with the front end: after the extra length of the 2.0 rods punches the cylinder heads into the front wheels!

Vin, you had me at "flame-hardened steel billets"  that all sounds very awesome.  I'll have to have a chat to you about it soon.  I really don't want to get beaten by that Volvo again (its not very pretty, but its fast)

Evan, that's the problem with all this stuff, it all looks so nice and then you go and put it in the gearbox/engine and never see it again.  Maybe that's why they all come with big stickers, so you can put them on the outside of your car  as a reminder of where all the money went.
