Years ago we had a Mk IV Golf which ran on PULP.  Typically around town it got 400km to a tank, in the country anything up to 600.  On a trip to Deni one time, when it was very new, I couldn't get PULP so filled up with regular ULP.  Got 450km from that tank on the trip and it was slow as hell.......and it was hardly a rocket with something like 75Kw.  Which begs the question as to what it was actually doing with that PULP!
