yes I do have a polished cam cover, but they don't last that long, and I personally don't like the look that much, I tend to polish the alfa script and use crinkle paint, that always looks striking....anyway, much to to do.

Few additional notes:

Polished a rim last night, turns out they are a two peice rim not 3 peice simmons.  Apparently they were made by simmons to this spec for the turbodelta...interesting.  Certainly makes cleaning easier.

Also, all brakes have been overhauled.

Also plan to snap of a few shots in natural light, the pics up here were under my fluro lights in the shed at night, consequently the colour looks a little orange in the pics.

5  (ie spare as well) 2 piece 15" rims right?

Much nicer than the 14" 3 pieces that the sedan had on it (I still have them but would need a bit of work to make them presentable *and stop them leaking* which is the worst thing about the 3 piece version).

Yes there are five of them.  Painted one today, came up a treat.  Will clear coat it tommorow.  Turns out simmons gold formula is a 'big secret'.  I stumbled arcoss by fluke an exact match.  It really is spot on.  Polished rim now looking the goods....starting to think I should not sell the car, looking to nice :-).

Before and after.  Still need to clean up the polished alloy lip, but it's getting there.

All four centers are painted now.  Just moving onto allen key bolt painting, wheel nut polishing and clear coating, and a LOT more outer rim polishing (no pun intended!).  Here's a pic of the center siting back in the rim.  Rim still needs outer lip filing and polishing.  Slow going, I can see why people's wheels just look old...it's easier!

Anyway, I think it's going to be worth the effort.

For peoples interest, I am oven baking both base coat and top clear coat....in wifes oven...windows open is wise...prolongs life expectancy, and I don't mean from fumes!

3 rims polished, one to go...my fingers need a rest!  Should have them back on the car this weekend.  Might look at lowering the front end as well before the rims go back on.  Still looking for a suitable replacement tan interior if anyone has one, also may consider the black Recaro interior if one turns up.

wheels are done and back on the car.  Phew.  Next it's time to tackle something easier..the cam cover.

Finally got the car outside for a pic or two with the new wheels.  still got to get onto the crinkle paint for the cam cover and reinstall the painted engine intake components.

sorry about the unusual hue, I am finding it rather tricky to get the 'real colour' of the car, suffice to say it's rosso 501, so is a little darker than what the photos show.  Actually the colour looked right on my laptop, and odd on my work computer...work computer looks almost pinky red...very odd.

bump.  Still for sale, actually thought this would have been snapped up..how often does something come up like this?  I waited 5 years and it was never advertised.  Someone come drive it and stop me spending money and time on it!  Actually I need the garage space!!
