Hello all,

My name is Paul Ramadge. My partner, Julie, has a midnight blue 1974 Alpha Romeo Spider, but we now have a seven-month-old baby and, sadly, it's time to say farewell to a great car.

The Spider has a service record from Pursang in South Melbourne. It still drives extremely well, although I'm sure an enthusiast could get even more joy from the Alpha growl.

Our purpose in signing on to this Web site is to give club members th first chance to show interest in the car.

If that leads nowhere, we advertise to sell it.

We're open to offers. You can get me on 0417 314085.

Hello Edward,

Sorry, I missed this reply. I'm new to the site.

We're not fixed on a price. A friend sold one for $18,000, so I guess that's a guide.

Good bits are the way the car still drives. Motor purrs.

Bad bits are some rattles ... one nagging one in the right-hand rear, some minor rust in parts of the bonnet (we've previously had some cut out and we've been vigilant) and, for the enthusiasts, we haven't doen much to the car. It's still in somewhat original condition.
