Hi Guys,

Looks like I missed a vital step on here and that is to introduce myself. Name is Pancho and I'm now a Melbournite. Been here for a few years now from Sydney. I've enjoyed Alfas for quite some time with my first foray an 84' 1.5L 33 which we replaced the engine with a 17 injected, 1.3tranny and Sparcos' ect along with some other bits and bobs, also had Lancia's and most recently a GTV6 that I sold.

The new project is the white Step that was advertised online here last week - a crazy barn find that I must say is in very original condition. Bits already ordered from the UK and the US to puut this thing back on the road. Look forward to contributing to the forum where I can. Two kids means not much time though. Catch you around.

Well done Pancho and welcome. Any rebuild of a 105 is good news to me.  I too saw this barn find step nose and thought it would have to be an excellent opportunity.  Great to hear that it is in safe hands.  Enjoy the project.

Welcome pancho. Sorry to see your shift from the transaxle to a 105 but  I guess it's hard to fight the magnetic legend of the 105's  ;)

Havn't seen you on Mike's Forum for ages...

Best wishes on the new project.

Ok, at the suggestions by some Victorian members I have had a chance to speak with Paul Rankin today - very nice guy and from what I have heard his work is excellent.

I'd like to check out the workshop and meet him in person as soon as I can. I'm looking to have the car in there before the 4th qtr this year. Stripping down the car commences this long weekend - thank god for the Unions.

Well, it's only taken 4.5 years to get to this stage - but I think it's worth it.

Project started here in March 2011 : http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,6621.0.html

After a lot of effort, metalwork and bodywork, Adrian and Paul at Rankins panels have finally laid down some colour. A lot of work ahead but I'm looking forward to the final product now.

I'll update the AlfaBB thread in the coming days.
