ELZ147

Hey folks, just wanted to say hello as a 4 hour old Alfa owner.
Picked up my black 02 147 tonight and really looking forward to the ownership experience.  Arrived in Australia from Scotland Feb 2010 and this is the first car I've had since being here, gain a bit more independence.
Car history is mainly Japanese, Civic, Prelude, Civic Type R, Nissan 350Z so having an interior that doesn't resemble a bath sponge covered in fuzzy felt is a welcome sight.
First job is a wash, clay bar, polish and wax!  Couple cosmetic blemishes but hopefully some TLC should sort it.

Sadly I can't make next Friday, sounds like a good event and definitely would've asked about this damn airbag light!  Seems the curse has befallen my 147 aswell, light has been perm on since day 2 of ownership.  Have a Zagame receipt from 04 where they reset an error code so I'm hoping it's just that this time.
Thanks for the invite thought and the warm welcome.

The 932 Technical workshop night is Friday 27th May, NOT next Friday, but i hope i can catch up with you at a driver training day or early morning run, tell us how you get on with the airbag light issue, Colin.

Hi and welcome.

Have a 147 as well.

I have learnt that the airbag warning light comes on if the passsenger seat is moved for rear seat access when the ignition is on.

147 lesson - have the ignition off when moving the passenger seat.

Cheers.
