Get with the program. The escort guys are *scared* of transaxle alfas. They may not look as spectacular - advantage of having something other than a badly located leaf sprung rear axle - but they are quick:

I dont know but it seems that the Alfa drivers seem more mature and have much more grip then the escorts.

This was (before it, the trailer and the tow car were written off in an accident in which no kangaroos were hurt - and no humans luckily) a very sorted escort, driven well:

Had "a few" modifications aside from the engine - suspension isn't exactly (or even remotely) stock.

Haven't seen its reincarnation (yellow) run yet.
