Hi All,

I know that heading sounds like spam, but it's what I need.

I'm trying to sell an Astronomical camera to a guy in Italy, but the logistics may mean that the deal falls through.  The Italians charge an import duty of 30% (beats our 10% GST) on stuff imported, so he wants me to declare the thing as worth $500.  I don't want to do this as the insurance won't pay if things go pear shaped.

What I need is someone traveling to Italy.  The camera gear is packed into a briefcase sized Pelican case, which is made for transport, so it will be fine on an international flight even in checked luggage.  If you can bring the thing into Italy (possibly even just the EU) then post it to him, that'll save him some serious $.

Let me know by email if you can help out.

Cheers
Stuart

Is the item new or used ? Can it be sent as a sample ? Can it be returned under "warranty" or "commissioning instrumentation" ?
