Hi all just purchased a 3l 75 another to the collection!

Wanting to replace the timing belt myself and was wondering if anyone had a manual or knows of a workshop manual for the alfa 75 3l?

Water pump is also noisy..

Anyone know where the timing marks are on a 3.0 Potenziata? Can't seem to find any marks on the crank pulley? Should it be referenced off the 60-2 trigger wheel? Tried to look around but found nothing resembling timing marks

The newer Alfas like my 156 JTS don't have any timing marks anywhere, this is to discourage backyarders like me from changing timing belts, what you do now is use a Top Dead Centre gauge in the no 1 spark plug hole to find when the piston is at the top of its stroke, then you use a flywheel lock to stop the motor moving from TDC, then you use camshaft locks on the camshafts to stop them rotating when you are changing the belts, a far cry from Alfasuds and 33's that had timing marks on the flywheel, distributor and camshafts, if you are inexperienced in changing belts for the timing, get it done by a Alfa Specialist, as i have heard lots of horror stories of cam belt jobs gone wrong, Colin.

No, haven't done it before, but I will be doing it in the coming months as I overhaul my engine. Together with some helpful threads on alfabb.com, it seems straight forward.

I found timing marks on the cams under cam covers and check the spring for ware
