Thanks everyone, you're a great help. Spoke to Vin and are going to stick with the 14's. I've managed to order the Superlites with 14 P offset, so that makes the track  12mm wider. Next big pay check I will look at tyres.... I would like to know more about the Dunlop D01's.

I/m a big fan of Dunlop D01J's and have had 2 sets.

The Yokohama or Advan A048s are similar apparently

After talking to my local water authority I have discovered that you can use a pressure hose (Karcher or Gerni) with recycled water. So, stick a bucket in the shower to catch excess run off, store the recycled water in the bath tub and use a long garden hose and  the Karcher as a pump, total cost (if you don't already have a pressure hose) around $150 or half a dozen trips to the scratchy car wash.
