Hi all,
I am looking into installing dual brake master cylinders with balance bar on my 116 GTV and am in need of advice and guidance from those who have done this in the past.

Have those who have done this replaced the existing pedal box or simply modified the existing alloy one? if replaced, was it replaced with a custom build one or sourced from a shelf item?

Photos would be of great help if able

Thanks
Dave

I would further endorse the pedal box, I have had one installed by Hugh on the race car and the best thing I have done thus far.  Gives some much more assurance on where the pedal is and that the brakes are there.

As choderboy says, it needs to be made, too much hassle to manufacture yourself, I think, so I would encourage you to give Hugh a call (03 729 9946) and order one, as I have just ordered another and perhaps a third one for my son's car.  Hugh will be able to supply all the bits and you then to spend some quality time fitting (given you are in NSW).

I do know a number of others with same set up.

Hope this helps.

I will take some pics on the weekend but essentially it is same as choderboy but 2 less cylinders in motor.

Cheers
Neil

Hi Brad

Sorry for delayed answer.  Not exactly sure, I didn't look when I installed it, see if I can get to it but from memory, I didn't see anything.  But I will have a look.  Though being dual, a standard MC each would be sufficient, given we are only using standard brakes.

I have seen a modified pedal box (with no booster) with one standard MC operating both circuits.

Cheers

Tilton 5/8" (which is 0.625") or Wilwood 5/8" also

Both Tilton and Wilwood look very similar.

Many thanks Neil and Choderboy,
Pulled the old peddle box out on the weekend and realised that there is slightly more to it than first thought. Will be giving Hugh a call this week!!!
