hey all
just wondering whats a reasonable lap time you would expect from a 2.5 v6 leaded engine with good tyres, brakes, suspention, neg 5 on front no adjustments yet on back, lowered all round, big set of balls(behind the wheel). i am thinking i can at least get a 1.48 but should be quicker.
post ur times and mods up here as well

Hi Dehne,

Have you had a look through the Natsoft site?  Results from all our events are there.  They're listed by class so you need to know what that means in terms of your car.  As you can see there is a huge difference between a standard and a racing class car of the same type.

Good to see you're going to have a go by the way.  It's a great way to benchmark yourself and your car against others.

No, it doesn't.  Read the class rules and that will tell you what each class allows.  Sounds like you're still in standard from what you say but having read some of your posts I'm thinking most unlikely!

Dehne, not sure how much track experience you have despite gonad size but car mods will not be as effective or make as much difference as the drivers experience or skill level. For example, someone like Jim Nielsen or Frank Musco will go faster in the same car than a 'newby'. So don't put too much reliance on other people's natsoft times no mater what mods, but like Aggie said it's a good way to benchmark yourself.

Dehne - think about coming to the next driver training day if you want to learn how to go faster!  Lots of experience and one on one in-car tuition provided at extremely low cost.

My totaly standard 75 3.0l V6 with standard pads, brake fluid, springs and shocks, ok koni reds on the rear,Falken ze912 rubber was able to run 1:59. Probably says more about my piss poor driving skills than the cars capabilities. Paul Edwards in his reasonably standard 2.0l TS 75 was running 1:50's.
Now-  '99 156 2.5l V6 (rosso)

Dehne, I'm surprised in all those winton fun-days no-one stood at the fence and gave you a rough time off their watch?

there is no speed limits, is supposed to be 80% of you and ur cars ability but no one does it they all go pretty flat knacker, the reason i have not entered is because i generally am working and when i go up the i only wanna have fun and just try new things but now i have come to a point that i wanna see how fast i can really go and the reason im doing this one is because i can have a full weekend and it suits my work to do it, and for august i cant as i have a uni day that i have to do
