FS: 1750 GT Veloce

With great reluctance I put up for sale my beautiful 1971 Series 2 105 series GTV. Another project and too little room
As many of you know, finding a sound example of one of these gems is half the battle, it took some time for me to find this little beauty (hence the reluctance to sell).
This is an older restoration which included a complete engine and gearbox rebuild; however it has had very little use since having covered less than 15,000 miles. As expected the engine is tight and responsive with no oil loss and the gear change is superb with no synchro issues.  Paint and bodywork is very presentable with no sign of the dreaded terminal rust problems that can afflict this marque. No accidents by myself and no signs of previous accidents.  
Brakes have recently been overhauled and the steering wheel has been replaced with an immaculate' Barn Find' 1750GTV steering wheel.
New dash and consul veneers with stereo discretely concealed in the glove box with an ipod jack in the ashtray.
Front and rear bumpers are in good condition and will be supplied with the car.
A large folder of receipts and details of the full engine rebuild.
Looking for $16K which I think is very reasonable but time will tell. The sum of the aforementioned receipts exceeds the asking price.  
Car is currently on Club Plates.
I would like to see the car go to a Club member or future member before going out to a bigger audience in a few weeks time.

There seems to be a fairly common thread of questions that I thought I would try to answer.
When was engine rebuild:  December 1998 @ Cileberti Motors, Odometer reading was 26,154. Currently sitting on 41,050 (total of 14,896 miles traveled)
When was the car last painted: July 1998
Will a RWC be supplied with the car: No problem
Is the car Australian delivered and matching numbered:Yes Australian delivered, manufactured on the 27th of April 1971 and sold on the 30th of April 1971 to Alfa Romeo Australia.

I'm 99% confident this is my old car. I owned it for 15yrs or so and only reluctantly parted with it a few years back with the arrival of our first bub. It looks like it has really been looked after well. Good luck with the sale... I'll probably scour Australia for it in about 15 yrs when I've kicked the kids out!

Hi Dan,
Yes your name appears on a vast majority of the receipts I have in my folder. She is a real beauty and the mechanical work you commissioned was first class as she is still as strong as an ox.
The car was obviously well looked after by yourself and the previous owner. I hope she finds an equally caring custodian. 
I may very well be in the same position myself in 10-15 years when I gain more space and time.

Dan - what's the cloth on the seats?  It was an option in Europe but can't say I've ever seen it on an Australian delivered car.  I assume you sourced it?

Hi Aggie 57,

I can't recall whether I had the seats done, or they were done prior. Maybe the receipts show? I believe they were originally vinyl but replaced for comfort and practicality in Perth summers heat. They were stitched along original seams and patterns and the backs remain original 'cross weave' vinyl

I sifted through all of the receipts but could find nothing on the reupholstering.
Its a shame because who ever carried out the works deserves a plug. The workmanship is excellent with the seams and piping (even under the seats) beautifully executed. My guess is that the cloth is a commercial polyester/wool blend. Having owned a few cars with the seats in black vinyl or leather in the past, I can vouch for the comfort factor. It is extremely comfortable in both summer and winter and appears to be very hard wearing as they still read "as new".
