Hello All

Early notice to all Alfa racers, the 2012 AROCA Sprint Series opens a little earlier for 2012.

It will be at Phillip Island February 4 SATURDAY.

I will endeavour to complete my paperwork in December and publish then, after Dec 11 for obvious reason.

So keep an eye here and website.

In due course, there will be a variety of notices (revised regulations, warnings, head up's or however you want to interpret it) coming out, so keept watch.

Regards
Neil

SR and EF attached.

Places are now limited.

Following on our very successful PI on 11 Dec, here are the EF and SR for our SATURDAY 4 Feb 2012 sprint at PI.

Be warned about the entry process, enter early as it will fill out very quickly, Dec entries were full in 5 days.  If it is full, I can't help you regardless of who you are and what the reasons are.

New initiative:  Addition of an INSTRUCTIONAL GROUP for new drivers, novice, those not so brave, juniors, lady drivers and those who are generally more gentlemanly driver.   This group will have an approved and recognised (by event secretary and CoC) instructor on board to guide you around the track for at least half of the day, if not, all day.  The group's aim is allow you the driver to have a safe and instructional time on the track without the distraction of faster cars on track at the same time.

Places are limited and you must nominate to be grouped into the INSTRUCTIONAL GROUP via the entry form.

2nd Initiative:  Added to the EF is a statement for you to indicate that you have read, understand and abide by the Supp Regs.  It is what it means and the EF and SR are legal documents.

Scrutineering sheet also attached.

Looking forward to your entry.

Massive interest.

Pretty much event is FULL in all groups though spots for the INSTRUCTIONAL GROUP is still available, ideal for novice, beginners, junior, ladies, or gentlemanly drivers or slower Alfa's.

Looking forward to a great event.

Cheers

A well oversubscribed entry field for our RDA-EBC AROCA Sprints Round 1 for 2012 at Phillip Island.

Over 50 Alfa's entered with large fields for modified and racing under 2L Alfa's.

All the Gp S racers will be out testing their machinery from work done over the break, getting in readiness for Phillip Island Historics.

The 3L boys will be doing their entertaining battles in the usual manner.

The gentlemanly classics will be lapping at a pace such that you can admire the shape and lines of their beauty.

So come on down and see and hear what Alfa's do best.  Come chat to the members, catch up and chin wag on how much more horsepower you got compared to mine (doesn't take much, trust me).

See you all there for what is expected to be a brilliant day, family friendly and Alfa friendly.  Be warned, your visiting Alfa could be raided for parts!!!

Neil

Who did what?
I didn't do a thing, my car will be the same as it was rolling off the trailer from Dec sprint.

Nope, nothing happened on my car either, it's as it was after Sandown Historics.  Someone has been up to something, surely.

I hear that Blanden has electronic ignition........perhaps that's it.

Chris Blanden

Well, I do have ignition which is once again connected to the bit that makes the distributor spin around and therefore produces sparks!! It may be that one or two other subtle changes have occurred also. We shall have to wait and see.

Not wanting to be a "wet blanket" but just saw this recent clip from Philip Island and the need to pay attention to cars around you  both ahead & behind you whilst on the track.
