I finally worked out how to reduce the file size of the video we took and uploaded it to you tube.

This is the last run of the event up Mount Buller.  We had not used 1st gear all day as it was so badly damaged but as we got near the top we had nothing to loose so i started using it around the hairpins, it wouldn't stay engauged by itself thats why i'm holding it into first at the end of the video on that last few hairpins, awsome event, can't wait to do it again.

Fantastic Colin, love the vision, I only wish I could drive up Mt Buller like that, at speed.

I spent every winter weekend for 7 years during my uni days, driving up Mt Buller in a corolla to go skiing, and remembers the corners well.  Always loved the Mt Buller road.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

Awesome Colin, just awesome.  Enjoyed the steering corrections with one hand while the other was holding the gear lever in first!  Thanks for sharing it.

I too have done that road but, like Neil, nothing like that.  On a bike (VTR1000) in the pouring rain with some snow still visable on the side of the road  :o

Thanks for sharing Colin.
Last time I did this road was on my push bike and going down was certainly a lot more fun that the slog up.

no worries guys, yea it was great fun, I love my skiing to so i've done a few trips up that road back in the day, a bit slower in an old alfetta with chains on though :D

It would be great to get a few more of you guys at these events, Tarmac rallying is just awesome fun and I'd love to see some more older Alfas at these events, particularly the group S guys as it wouldn't take much to get those cars prepared for something like this.  If anyone is interested i'm more than willing to help pass on as much information as i can.

The only problem is once you do one event your addicted!

Nice one Colin, that's what I call a hill climb! Fricken awesome/scary stuff. I can see how addictive it is. One day I'll get there, when I fit a 100 point ROLL CAGE!  :D
