Here's something you don't see everyday. A 2008 ALFA ROMEO 147 MY2005 DUCATI CORSE with 47K on the clock, with a Diesel 6 speed! What do you peeps reckon?

It's no good - the radio is tuned to Nova...

What were either company thinking - I mean its a pretty enough 147 but I don't understand a Diesel Ducati with 4 wheels?

Alfa sponsored the Ducati Team back then, Casey was on board at the time (probably wrong).

It's just a bit of cross promotion, a GTA would have been a better choice but given the 50% price bump from the diesel ... they probably figured the diesel torque would be a good compromise.

Also, I think they had already started phasing out the GTA by 2008.

I do recall seeing a few for sale and one that was said to have aDucati red colour unique to that model.

If you want to save a few dollars (and go without the badge) and like the turbo diesel, get an earlier model.  Do a search using fuel type to refine search.

Well I reckon the Ducati stickers on the side is particularly cheesey, although love those 18" wheels.
What cracks me up is that in 2008, the MotoGP championship was actually won by Valentino on - what for it - A YAMAHA! Stoner was 2nd on the Ducati. The manufacturer championship was won likewise by Yamaha.
On a sidenote, the 250cc was won by Marco Simoncelli who sadly was in that gawd-awful crash in Malaysia recently.

Well, considering Stoner won in 2007 ... logic says it takes time to organise a set of special stickers, maybe not a year but we all suspect how quickly ateco moves on most things.

As a side note, well done to Casey on another championship, probably not his last.
