As the subject line suggests, I'm curious to know how much difference there is between the nord and TS blocks and corresponding components. Also, do the oil wells line up etc?

Thanks

What do you want to do? People have used TS heads on Nord blocks, but there is a fair bit of messing around. Better to buy a whole TS engine if you want to put a TS head on Nord engine.

TS head studs are longer, the block only has oil supply to the two front galleries (but they line up), There is no oil drain at the back of the block for the head from memory, top timing chain is in a different location, timing case bolt hole for the head on one side is in a different position... This is not to mention that the rods are longer in a Nord (1mm) and of course the pistons are different.

Hm, it does sound like a lot of messing around. Thanks for the advice.
