Hi guys,
Just weighed the radiator (with fans) of my GTV6 at 14kg after I took it out as part of an engine out and rebuild effort. That seemed mighty heavy and pretty ancient technology.
Has anyone fitted a lightweight super efficient radiator from another car? Would love to know what people are using.
I know some race cars have specially made lightweight aluminium ones but they are pretty pricey.
Any ideas?
Regards
Ian

14 kg is a lot

Try weighing it with water in the radiator.
That would be a better indication of the true weight of a radiator.
Would rather a bigger radiator than an overheating engine.

Cool Jesus

You could try a 75 turbo diesel twin fan unit? I've read its the beez kneez for an upgrade on the 116 in performance manuals. May require a bit of sheet metal work though?
