I was given the brand name readily available in Australia but I have forgotten it, can someone joggle my memory ? Many thanks.

Autosol is the popular one, but I am sure there are plenty more that people will swear are better.  A work collegue recently gave me a 15 year old Amway product that he swears by, its a dry powder that you add a bit of water to, I've tried it on a couple of inconspicuos spots and it seems to work well!

Another vote for Autosol. About $10.00 a small tube at Auto Barn.

I was having this discussion at work this morning and Ive been told that Autosol liquid works really well for stainless steel, whereas the Autosol paste (in the tube) is better suited to polished aluminium.

Ive only tried the paste (tube) on my 105 bumpers and it was OK, but apparently the liquid in the white bottle does a better job. Purple polish also got a good wrap but again for aluminium.

Cheers

Autoglym if you can find it has a superb metal polish for stainless steel. They are a UK product and make a range of top notch polishes. It is used as standard polish for Rolls, Astons and Jags, so I suspect it can't be too shabby.

Repco used to stock it, not sure if they still do.  Not cheap though
