On the way home after the Italian car show in Como park this afternoon in my 1750, I noticed my clutch was feeling a bit weak. I stopped and the saw the fluid reservoir was almost empty. I refilled it but there is still no clutch..... I believe it has a sach clutch installed by the previous owner. Right now I'm waiting for the RACV to come and see what they can do. Is there anything I can do to get my little car going?

Because it ran low, the system has air in it, as the clutch wears, the pushrod goes in further and it is taken up by fluid, the only thing to do is bleed the clutch hydraulics, and make sure there are no leaks, and that the pushrod is travelling the correct distance, Colin.

Short term, to get it going, bleed the system, long term, a new seal kit for the master and or slave cylinder, or maybe depending on condition of cylinders, complete new ones, Colin.

Thanks guys, as I thought there was nothing i could do to get him going, so he will be on the back of a tow truck first thing in the morning for what looks like a new slave cylinder or kit.

Thanks for your help. This forum is awesome

Keep us informed of the repairs, so we can relate to it, as it will happen to us all one day, Colin.
