Hi all,

after a lot of reading, hesitation, what if's and driving on almost every Alfa Carsales had to offer, I found my first Alfa - and she is an absolute beauty.

Picked it up on Friday and my weekend was a blur of sexy engine noise and idiotic smiles.

It is a 2004 156, did 56,000 and came from a loving family in great condition.

The knowledge I got from this forum is invaluable and I thank you all for it.

Cheers.

Welcome to Alfa ownership.

Post some pics so we can check out your purchase.

Congrats on the purchase.

You've also got the right oil. Planning an oil change soon?

Thanks for the comments guys.

ANG156 - the family who sold it to me attached this oil with it, very nice family indeed. As per your question - the car is going for a cambelt next week (3 years since last change, only 8,000 kilometers though..), and a gearbox service. I would throw in oil & filters replacement just to start with clean sheet.

Best regards from sunny Melbourne,

Rafael

Nice looking 156 you have there Rafa.

My 156 is also going in next week for the belts etc, plus some work on the front suspension.  If you havn't already done so, and/or interested in saving some $$ you might wish to check out EB Spares in the UK for parts.  Even with shipping included, the cost for parts is cheaper out of the UK than if bought locally.

Just a heads up, if you are interested.  The parts took around 3-5 days to arrive (can't recall exactly).
