The shoes to me are ok, I find his 4" short pants more a worry  or is that 'cool' these days ?

Yeah not so sure about those short long pants but suspect, like the shoes perhaps they are supposed to be cool.  Obviously I 'm not. 

Now as wonderful as the GT is and for a supposed architect, and perhaps Derek may  have a view on this, but perhaps an even more uber cool car for such a technical artist, might in fact be a Giulia sedan  .  I am hedging my bets by having an example of each.

Yep you're spot on Dave. I know an older German architect and he says the Giulia Super was the car to have back in the day.

Impressive list of iconic cars.
I can't tell you how many Architects I know or have met that own or have owned a 105 series Alfa. The two I have owned were been previously owned by Architects and I sold one of them to an Architect.
Clearly petrol head Architects value aesthetics over pragmatism.

I don't know about you guys but down here in Hobart a non turbo SAAB was known as a Sandy Bay Holdens (Sandy Bay being a upper shunter river side suberb) while the turbo versions were known as Swedish vacumn cleaners
