Hi people,

I'm in the market for a Chrysler Grand Voyager and more specifically a 2008 or later 4 cylinder common rail turbo diesel.

Sadly the Limited version of these retail new at nearly 80k here in Australia so I am forced to look at used vehicles.

What is the reliability and life span of the turbo variety of these?
How many km's can you expect to he out of this motor before a rebuild?
Is 100k kilometers a lot for these engines? Of the few available in Australia there is one with this amount of km's.
Any other service issues with these engines I shod be aware if?

I have no experience with any diesels so just want to get some non-dealer educated facts. I am replacing a 2006 Chrysler Grand Voyager Limited 6 cylinder petrol model that sadly got written off in an accident recently. For those that suggest a Toyota or something Jap made, unfortunately the Chrysler is the vehicle that fits out need, with the ability to carry a double bass AND 2 child seats at the same time.

Thanks in advance
Adam

Adam you do realise that this is an Alfa Romeo club site? you'd probably be better off trawling the forums or going to the "Kebab Van club of Australia" web site.

Good Luck
