Calder "open practice"

If anyone interested and has Thursday free, Calder has a track day scheduled as follows:

A new venture aimed at establishing a regular 'speed off the streets' concept, similar to what is run at Wakefield Park each week. Anything from road cars to closed wheel racing sportscars welcome.

Details of the first planned event are as follows :

1) Date    :    Thursday, 14 June 2012

2) Timing :    Arrival                 : 11H30

                   Scrutineering       : 11H30 until 12H30

                   Track sessions    :  13H00 until just after 17H00

3) Format :   4 groups, depending on vehicle category, driver experience - recurring sessions of 18 mins each ; in total 4 sessions for this first day

4) Driver Licence requirement    :    AASA (can be bought at the track on the days) or CAMS

4) Cost    :    $80

Please could you spread this news to the club members asap - it would be wonderful if we can again have a venue so close to home for days like this at such reasonable prices. Obviously, the organizer's will need to have the support of the track day community to make this viable on an ongoing (monthly is presently the intention) basis.
