The central locking has not worked properly in the 33 for about 10 years, when 3 doors are locked and 1 is open, it won't work, for it to work, all the doors must be locked OR open, and the culprit is the rear right door, i have had the trims off and cleaned and adjusted all the rods and levers and locking assembly's, and it will work ok, then not work, so i pulled the locking assembly out and looked at it and it seemed ok, as i have cleaned it many times, use silicone spray, so it doesn't attrack dust and dirt, looking at the assembly closely i noticed that the locking mechanism, that actually locks the door with the 'snibber', was very stiff to operate, so i removed the spring, that has the lock in lock or unlock, and put it back in the car, and it worked perfect for about 10 times, so i then took it out and put the spring back in the locking assembly, put it back in the door, and it worked ok for about half the time.... then decided to weaken the spring that controls the locking by shortening it and therefore making it weaker, put it back in the assembly, installed it in the door, and it worked perfectly about 10 times, even worked properly, when i put all the trim back on, fingers crossed it keeps working, Colin.

I should also point out that the central locking solenoid didn't quite have enough power to open and shut the locking system, [it is getting old like me], the strong spring most likely works ok when its all nice and new, and when the base model 33 sold in Italy without central locking, and you have to lock the 'snibber' button, by hand,  would work fine, on mine the solenoid are Swedish, can't blame Magnetti Marreli for this one, Colin.

No, i have all original solenoids and master relay, look at the return springs in the locking assembly, it can be quite tight, it may take a few goes to get it right, [mine took about 10 years], work in progress, Colin.
