Just an advance notice to all.

AROCA Winton Sprint Long Track Round 6 on 5th August.  Due to a tight schedule, it is only 2 weeks after our Broadford event.

Great opportunity to get some 6 hr practice in, I will try to schedule some longer sessions in.

So keep mindful of this.

I will have documents out shortly.

Due to a purpose and scheduling change, we will not be running our usual Circuit Training program on 4 August.

However those drivers wanting some instructional sessions to improve their skills, we can schedule an instructional group (pending numbers) in our normal Sprint event.

Please contact me if you are wishing to participate.

Entry form and supp regs will be available on July 1.

Regards

A healthy number of entries so far, can fit in a few more, so if still interested, you have a week to prepare your car.

Usual mix of Alfa's, MX5's and others, with the most interesting being a Radical SR3.

As always, spectators are welcome.

Hi guys!

Im new to your forum however I have read about your winton days from Exe car club.  Just wondering if there are any spaces still available for Sunday in open class (ae111 levin or rcolt)

I have read the documentation and I have aasa licence.

Many thanks
Lance

(sorry i dont have an alfa!)

Following the conclusion of the training program, there will be an untimed private practice session from 4-5pm.  The cost will be $40, places are limited, you must book and car must be scrutineered in the usual manner.

No real point asking here since you have read the documents, you need to contact me.

Another great run event once again.

My weekend started out badly when running in practice on Saturday bedding in new brake the car developed a surge issue at high load.

After consultation with Bruno (chief Scrut.) and Stuart (the pres.) and a generous donation of a brand new spare Facet fuel pump from Neil (the king) and a quick run into Benalla auto shop for some fittings I managed to get the car going strong again after 11:30am and got in 3 good sessions of practice.

A BIG thank you to you three gents and also Nick Taylor (group S racer) who donated some standard alfetta fuel pumps (not used).

The Alfisti spirit is truly appreciated.

Winton Sprint day
Officials:
Alan Hopla, Stuart Thomson, Bruno Colautti, Anthony Sharp, Gavin Daniels, Team Botti,

Started out damp for a couple of hours which made practice and 1st run tentative and careful but just as ordered 11 am sunshine and dry track.

Several battles between a couple of GTV6's, then a couple of dice between a couple of Gp S GTV's.  Several new comers in 105's and 75's.  All of them will be back from all the positive feedback.

Once again, the event defeated the racers as we ran out of cars by 4:30 pm.  Tim Bentley in an Alfa Ricciardi completed 52 laps, over 100 mins of track time, equals to about $3 a lap.  Great value.

Next sprint August 19 at Sandown.

Finish off December 2 at Winton

Racing report:

Several members are heading up to attend the Winton Festival of Speed, Hugh Harrison in his Ignis GTV6 in Group A/C and Phil Baskett Alfetta GTV, Hung Do Alfetta GTV, Nick Taylor Alfa 105 Spyder and Neil Choi Alfetta GTV in Group Sc.
