Well spotted, rear mount looks totally destroyed,hard to tell if TB failure was cause or result, check out the sizeable ding under the open door....ouch

Looks like (s)he has gone sideways and caught something protruding which hit the sill and ripped out torsion bar via destroying rear mount etc.  Door not damaged ie bent.  But then just conjecture.

 Don't know if rear mount is totally destroyed, that car is a late model 85-86 which has no torsion bar bridge like most of us have but is mounted into the crossmember. This model is what the short bars are for, long bars are used with suspension bridges. Just wanting to point out the difference as most have not seen this setup.

Duk - its the same as every 75, every 90 and every GTV6 built after October 1984......pretty common.

Looks like to me it has gone side ways into the tree that is laying down next to it, also you can see the tree damage to the sill panel and half way under the car.

 Al, yes i agree that it is pretty common but when i wrote off my 85 gtv6 and was explaining how the rear TB mounting was in the crossmember, none know what i was on about as all they knew was the bridge arrangement.
