Hi All, I thought I could get this out easily but there appears to be more to it.Anybody got the secret to remove these vent windows? I need them out and the stainless surrounds as well so I can get to the rust that has developed underneath, fortunately not serious yet! Is it more than just a simple wriggle and pull?(probably is!)...........Cheers......Ian

There are rubber hinges at the leading edge of the rear side windows, that are screwed into the B-pillar behind the door seal rubber.

This might be helpful:

Thanks Evan, I studied the form and took a punt. It took me about 5 minutes to have it out and about another half hour to find my way around the bits of stainless so I could uncover the (slightly!!!!!) rusty window sill. It was a bit worse than I first thought and on inspection and a good wire brushing decided not to attack it with the oxy/acetylene but to treat it with Fisholene and some fibreglass mat later when dried. Same on the other side but it doesn't appear to be as bad, not as many rust bubbles showing. Water penetration at this area seems to stem from the end of the rain gutter where factory sealant has dried out letting the rain seep around the stainless sill strip and to the underside where it sits and rusts that area undetected until too late. Well! thats my theory anyway. On assembly a squirt of Silastic at that point should hold it for another forty years. Cheers all.....Ian
