Front suspension limit rubbers

Hi all

I am just in the process of putting the front suspension back together with all the good bits and am wondering what to do with the limit rubbers. I notice the 75 doesn't have any limit restrictions but for some reason the GTV has both an upper and lower rubber stopper. Should I just leave these rubbers or whip them out? The ride height will be lowered with 28mm bars and the PACE longer upper ball joints. The car will be used regularly on road and some track time.

Thanks

It would be helpful if someone could post a picture of a 75 front suspension.  I seem to recall in Greg Wyatt's large post on here about his 3.0 PRC GTV rally car that he cut the lower bump stop mounts off.  I think the logic was that the shock absorber acted as the limit stop in droop and he spoke about putting bump rubbers on the shock absorber shaft as the bump rubber in compression.

I am looking at this from the opposite angle.  I am running a rally car and I am considering raising the ride height another 20mm at the front, but with 28mm torsion bars I am soon going to run out of travel in droop.  I have already put in cut down lower rubbers to do it.  I suppose if you think about it, the rear suspension has no lower limit stop, it relies on the shock to limit it.  If you look back through Greg's post I think he had a picture of the bumpr rubber he used to limit compression and might have said where he got it.
