Extensive searching the internet has yielded some possibilities for sourcing seat covers for my GTV6 from overseas but none from within Australia. Does anyone has any experience in tackling seat restoration that can provide advice? I'm very new to restoration (and Alfas for that matter).
I plan to use the expertise of a professional upholsterer to fit them properly and we have a back-up plan should my efforts to get replacements of the same colour/pattern fail.

I have no idea - really only replying because of the the spectacular lack of response!

I did notice there is a recommendation for a motor trimmer on the service providers page.

If you need an automotive upholsterer who can remake the complete interiors for your restoration project in any materials of your choice, David is your guy. Got the patience of a saint and finishing skills to match. About an hour south from the Brisbane CBD.

Hell Darryl, you were having a trawl through the old posts!

The only suggestion I can make is to call club member Paul Young and ask him for his motor trimmer contact. Youngie has restored several Alfas to an amazing standard and he's also done a few quick tidy ups on Alfetta GTVs. Paul is an auto electrician but he will have a good motor trimmer he uses regularly for sure.

Paul is at Sunshine Auto Electrical on 0411 592 175.

Thanks for replying. I had previously been recommended Lee Bros in Albion. They have been helping with the search. All to no avail so we are going with a restoration using the existing covers. It's as good as I can do without importing leather covers from the US (at significant cost).
