Still a great looking car, absolutely sensational in 74, when i drove Neil Choi's Alfetta to the 6 hour regularity race last year, thats exactly how i felt,  Bobby Deerfield, [that had let himself go], Colin.

Nice period piece, thanks for posting.

Thanks Joe for posting.

My heart aches for another Alfetta GT.

Interestingly, the GT shown has a GTV fuel cap as oppose to GT having a fuel flap.  Also it was shown with twin squirters, I thought they had a single one.  Must be Euro model vs Aust model.

But gorgeous.

Hey guys - no problem.

Neil, I noticed that too :)

All the other bits are GT (Rear vents, chrome bits & bumpers)

Wonderful, thanks Joe.  Best shot is the GT with mud sprayed along the sills and up the sides.  takes me back to when the GTV ('79) was my only car, driven daily, used for camping trips and lengthy drives to...well, to nowhere in particular and then all the way back home   :D

I don't recall ever walking away from that car and not casting a glance back over my shoulder.

It is a Alfetta GT 1.6

How do we know?

We know it is a GT because it has the side air vents, no overiders on the bumper, GT grille and round hole steel wheels.

We know it is a 1.6 because it has the twin windscreen jet nozzles, later fuel cap, later GTV style door trim and grab handle, vinyl upholstery, the cutout below the grille, and later Alfa Romeo script above the number plate surround.

Bobby Deerfield was made in 1977 so the chronology is correct. No GT 1.8s were made after 1976, whilst the GT 1.6, introduced in 1976, was a regular model until the Nuovo GTV came out in 1980.

Paul, you are the Professor.

Thanks and always wondered, and now I know a bit more.

I guess I am a GT trainee/apprentice/PhD student.
