Hey guys,

Im still awaiting confirmation of a medical but we are starting to do some research now into suburbs. We have small kids so want something with a decent school/kinder (4, 2, 3m y.o).

I didnt want to clog up this thread with info about BRI but since its related to spending a bit on the GTV I was hoping to live close enough so I had a little drive but not to far out.

Morningside/Hawthorne or on the other side we are not sure. First time to Brisbane so open to suggestions!

My suggestion is to look at suburbs near train stations. The other's are right in that driving to the Valley can be pretty average in traffic. However the trains run regularly and the station is handy to the central part of the valley.

Morningside/Hawthorne is lovely and when there is no traffic is very easy to get into the valley, but it can be very frustrating in traffic as there is pretty much only one way in to the valley from there. Schools are very good in that area too. I went to Coorparoo SS which was/is a very good school as I have a couple of cousin's kids there.
