Hi
my 1st post

I'm thinking of buying my 1st Alfa and Im thinking of GT Veloce the 2.0 version (2000)
Just wondering how much should I expect for a fair condition one
Someone has one for sale but paint is OK condition some bog making the paint crack on some panel, surface rust on rear light good engine and interior.

Any suggestion regarding a reasonable price?

Thanks

Gary Pearce

Prices for 1970-1977 2000 GTV are very subjective to body condition, as most mechanical repairs can be taken care of reasonably inexpensively. I notice a couple of cars on e-bay, there is a nice white one in Sydney for sale for $12,500 and there are a few around on the various other car sales web sites such as carsales.com. These web sites are always a good source to check movement and general prices but there is no substitute for a thorough body (and mechanical) check by a specialist prior to purchase. The AROCA club in Queensland would be a good starting place for you, they might even have some members with cars for sale. Membership to the club is inexpensive and is a great source of help and information.

Razor,

You just missed out a great little GTV 2000 that club member Paul Ross had for sale. It was $15,000 and was a tremendous little car in British racing green. Michael Lew has one for sale that I think from memory is about $20,000 but it is in absolutely immaculate condition. There will be cheaper cars around but Michael's is a gem.

Our club website's classifieds are extremely out of date, so if you would like some details for Michael Lew, let me know and I'll email them to you. There are always cars changing hands within the club, so if you are not a member, join up and check out the classified pages in the club magazine each month. You join by downloading a word file of the application from the AROCA Qld site and returning it to the club secretary.

Cheers,

Brent
