Hi Lindon,

My car is a 1969 GT1300 Junior (ie step-nose 105.31). I'm assuming that the floorpan is the same across the 105 coupe range - start to finish. If that is in fact the case (any thoughts, anyone?), then the moulded carpet set should fit all 105 coupes.

We're now up to 7 interested parties... maybe half a dozen more and we can get a supplier to commission a 105 mould.

Regards,

Nick

Nick - being a junior you realise your car shoud have rubber mats and not carpet?

Hi aggie57.

I do, but the previous owner made a number of modifications to the car (including carpet pieces) so I've taken the liberty of making quite a few modifications of my own.

If the car had been in original condition, I would have gone for a faithful restoration, but I'm instead going for what the Yanks refer to as a "resto-mod".... GTA-look exterior, Twin Spark engine, 2lt gearbox and LSD, replacing all wiring, install aftermarket air con, etc.

I think I'll give the "doof-doof" stereo and underbody neons a miss, but I do want to update the interior a little with sports seats and new carpet... hence the interest in a moulded carpet.

Cheers,

Nick

I will commit to buy a set if it has the right treatment around the gear selector for a stepnose without centre console.

Hi Dean,

I'll certainly take note of the gear selector area treatment, as mine is a stepnose without centre console as well.

Hi All,
I just came by this thread when searching for moulded carpets for my 105 in google.
What ever happened? Is there a supplier (eg: Tru-fit) who has gone to production?

Thanks
Nathan.

+ 8 - if the floor pan is the same, However, I have a 1750GT, no such problem with the cut outs as the 1750GT has the full centre console. But I am pretty sure that the 1750's were also fitted with carpet around the tunnel area (front/rear) and then carpet matts which overlap the carpet around the tunnel (my matts have finishing edging all round). That's how mines done.

I don't have any photo's which show the carpets close up, however if this is the original fitment then the carpet guys don't have to come up with a total mould but just a mould for the tunnels and then produce carpet floor matts to a patern. I would have thought the matts could be done by a number of different suppliers without the need to put in big orders? maybe?

I recently acquired a 1971 GT Junior (1970 model, step nose). I am interested in purchasing the carpet if still available. Please let me know the availability. Thanks.
