Hi All,

I have a Twin Spark engine which I'm (still) working on transplanting into my 1969 GT1300 Junior.

I've removed the Twin Spark sump and swapped it over for the Nord-style batwing sump. The problem is, I can't remember which of the two dipsticks I have is for the Twin Spark engine/sump and which is for the Nord engine/sump.

I'm assuming that if I use the original Nord dipstick with the Nord sump fitted to the Twin Spark engine, then this should indicate the correct oil level in the sump. Does that sound right? Is this what other Twin Spark transplanters have done?

If so, can someone please check their Nord dipstick for me and provide overall measurements for the dipstick. Specifically, I'm after the measurement from the end of the dipstick to the start of the dipstick handle, and from the end of the dipstick to the minimum and maximum oil level marks on the dipstick. I can then identify which of my dipsticks is the right one to use.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Nick
