Wow, that looks amazing! Love your work.
But your modern coil looks a little out of place there ;)

BeeYooTifful!! Brings a tear to my eye.  My second car and first Alfa was '79 GTV in Avorio 103 (purchased 1985).  It was my only car for fourteen years.  What year is she?  Grey velour interior?

I see you don't have the rubber strip along the lower edge of the windshield trim?  After I had mine apart for a mid-life refresh I noticed that the vents work much better with that piece in place.  In fact without it installed at some speeds I could stick a sheet of paper to the vents as they sucked air out of the cabin.  The strip must ensure a positive pressure across the vent plenum.

I recall trying a few solid-state coils with no success and ended up back with an oil-filled can type.

Now you just need to spoil the new-ness a little by filling her up with rustproofing  :D

its a 79 and has the grey velour seats and yes i need to get one of those rubber strips.
This was a track car not long ago and never had any problems running the modern coil.
She was restored early on in its life, sand blasted, rust proofed and turned red.
Infact when i had it apart did not spot any rust at all, so a big thank you to the guy who
went to all that trouble.

I still think you need to rustproof it, at least the A-pillars.  That way when you sell it to me in ten years time I know it's been done....................... ;D

Care to share the chassis number?  It might be my old car.
