2002 147 Selespeed issue

I have had the selespeed programed/calibrated  by 2 of the club sponsors about 3 months ago and had the actuator changed,

The car drove very well yesterday going to spettacolo .

This morning when I opened the car door I herd that the selespeed pump was working normal and the engine started first go,

When I tried to select reverse or 1st the car  jumps back to neutral?

You can hear the actuator clunking  and trying to select gears.

Can someone give me advise on what it could be as I am coming to the stage of getting ride of this car.  :'(

             :Alfetta GTV6 1984 3.2 24v

It could be a sensor, take it back and get it looked at, the sensor may have failed and doesn't know what gear it is in, i am sure on one of the forums, this has been talked about and someone knows the solution, Colin.

Does anyone know a good mobile Auto electrician that know selespeed in the Narre Warren North area. :'(

Auto electricians, unless specialised in Selespeeds, would not know what to make of a Selespeed, you need to take it to an Alfa Specialist, with an Alfa diagnostic computer, otherwise, you will just keep replacing things, at your expense until it works, have a look in the service providers page of this site, they work on them everyday, and they would have come accross the problems before, Colin.

Thanks for your advice,

Which is the gear engagement sensor.
The one on top of the actuator or the one between the firewall to the actuator.
I had taken both off and checked the Ohms they are very similar.

I don't know a lot about Selespeeds, if you are going to take it somewhere, make sure they have selespeed experience, have a look on some UK Forums, which have lots of technical tips on Selespeeds, and as you know you have to get them calibrated every year, to adjust for wear and tear, don't give up on it, lots of drivers love em, but i have never driven one, Colin.
