Help..Alfa 147 rpm problem

Hi everyone,I have 147 2ltr t spark that won't rev past 4500rpm,the maf has been replaced but still having the same problem,can anyone tell me what could be causing this,the car feels fine upto 4500rpm then feels like it hits a rev limiter..

If it was an older car I would suggest an ignition advance problem.  But because it is a modern one have you got an OBDII reader to plug into the computer to check any error codes?  They are not too expensive and a good starting point for engine management issues.
