I managed to get some video of me playing with my favourite car of the weekend, an awesome Giulia Super with a Twin Spark engine, running motorbike throttle bodies, COPs, and megasquirt.  I absolutely love this car, it's very close to my ideal vision of what I'd want in an Alfa.  It's got a body and interior that is well-loved and used, but with a modern kick-arse engine.  I love this car to bits.

This was my last session of the day, and it was obvious from the outlap that my tyres and brakes were completely knackered.  Once I saw that the Super was keeping up, I waved him past because I really wanted to get some footage of this awesome car.  The driver was having his first track day, so he did remarkably well to not get phased by me sitting on his bumper.  And check out how quick it is down the straights!!  The 2.5 in the 90 is no powerhouse, but the TS in the Super just destroys it.  Awesome stuff.  And I believe it was on road tyres too.  Shame I had to stop a few laps in as my bonnet came loose....

Wow Sheldon,  that's some write-up - thanks !

They *were* road tyres.  More a crumbly shredded O-Ring style of thing now - completely shredded the outside edges of the fronts...   Winton 1,  Marangoni Versos 0.     Was great fun belting around with the 90 on my tail -   really appreciate you taking the time to do the vid - you're right - it's hugely helpful to watch.

I just watched this a bunch of times,  and then I watched the bit where you let me past a bunch of times just to listen to it :)

I had to stop the lap after you as the swirl pot struggled to keep up with an almost empty tank - nearly didn't make it back to Benalla ....

Awesome to the power of Rad mate.

Cheers,

Scott.

Hi everyone! I've got some photos that I took on the day - not here to sell them or anything, just wanted to share them with you guys  :) Sunday was my first AROCA event + first time out at Winton and I'd like thank everyone for making it such a memorable day!

Also, if my instructor for the day (Geoff Vernon) is around, I tried my best to take some shots of your Cortina in action haha. Email me if you'd like the full res copies!

PS. Just watched the video Sheldon and realised that I'm in it  ;D (the black hatchback at 2:15). Loved watching what lines you guys took too!
