Title: GP Automotive Avenue Display 2013
Post by: John Hanslow on January 15, 2013, 02:06:51 PM
AROCA Vic Club members have been invited to participate in the Automotive Avenue dipslay at the Formula 1 GP.

This display is over 4 days and we would like an indication of who would like an indication of who would be interested.

Accordingly we can complete an EOI to the GP event organisers.

I'll be there anyway, what cars are they after, and can you drive the car in each day or does one have to leave the car there for 4 days?

I understand that the cars have to be left there for 4 days and speaking with a few Alfa enthusiasts, the consensus is that you would be crazy to leave an open top car there, so that leaves the sedans and coupes.

As per the Lotus Club invite, the cars need to be parked on Wednesday and collected Sunday post the GP.

Cheers

Similar subject was being discussed at yahoo answers last week. I can post the link if needed.

General feedback was that while a terrific idea and would appear to be popular, we could not get enough people who would want to leave their cars unnattended for 4 days - in a public area.

Security guards aside, anyone can come and go anytime and with the open top cars, anyone has access.

Lets get involed in the next few displays so see you at Lygon st and the next (and a good one at that ) is the PI historics. Refer home page for details.
