Following some lengthy rear vision mirror repairs, it has come to my attention, due to the discovery of 2 wires going to the door mirror, the 156 JTS has heated rear door mirrors!, took it for a spin with the Heated rear window demister on and the two door mirrors became warm, most likely in the owners manual, [which is one page less than War and Peace], absolutely nothing gets by me, Colin.
