Title: Nick says Hi
Post by: Nick Shardey on September 19, 2008, 05:50:02 PM
Hi All,
Well after a few years of non Italian car ownership (2.0 Guillietta and 2.0 Lancia Beta coupe 10 years ago) I had a run in Damian Crea's GTV at Sandown on the weekend and I'm hooked again. I'm on the hunt for a suitable club car so I can put all of Damian's mod plans into action and have a bucket load of fun. I look forward to meeting you all on the track.
Cheers

Well I've done it and got my Alfa, a 1964 105 1600 GT.
It has the usual "Alfa" rust (jeez that's a grey area) thankfully mine is fairly minimal (until I remove the paint I suppose).
Anyway the paint work is not a major concern; need to get the thing handling and engine sorted, hopefully in time for Phillip Island.
It's funny how as soon as I got into the car I was reminded of that familiar Alfa smell from 10 years ago. It's a mix of a little mould, rust and oil; it's a beautiful thing.
