Hi All,
Just acquired a MY04 Spider with no radio code. Does anyone know the best means of recovering the code? I have the Serial & Part numbers to hand. Thanks in anticipation, Jim

Refer to a previous post on this subject at the following link or for a fee go to local AR dealer providing model & VIN.

Hi All again, For everyone's information; After providing our local AR dealer, Solitaire Alfa in Parkside (SA) with all appropriate details via email, the splendid "Champion of the Marque", Alfa Romeo Specialist Gordon Meek, obtained the correct radio code for me. It took a couple of days,but suited me not to have to work my way random European websites. Jim

Good, it's most likely a Blaupunkt model. You take them out by either poking the official removal tools into the four small holes or at a pinch using four 2 1/2 inch nails pushed in. This releases the locking fingers while the tool or nails remain inserted, and you can carefully pull and jiggle the unit forward to see the stickers with model and serial number.

When re-installing you often have to use the tool (or nails) to tilt the unit up a fraction so the support peg at its rear engages in the dash properly.

I know this is "after the fact" but you can also purchase the code from eBay UK for £1-£2; barely a pot of beer. The number is usually sent within a few hours. To buy from eBay these days you don't even need a user account, all you need is an email address, a street address and an ordinary old debit card.

Hopefully we can help you get a fast, economical result with whatever comes next with the Spider.
