Though not actually a current model, there is quite a wealth of speculative information about the 166 replacement, the 169.
Top Speed has posted the following; http://www.topspeed.com/cars/alfa-romeo/2008-alfa-romeo-169-ar18188.html (http://www.topspeed.com/cars/alfa-romeo/2008-alfa-romeo-169-ar18188.html)
Here is a link to Google images of the 169 (in its many forms).

Very keen to follow the development of the 169 but little new has been added to the web since 2006 and that post was put online late in 2006. AR have been quite adept at keeping a secret but I guess the one thing we can be confident of is that the model will hit the showrooms in Europe about 18 months before here. That means even early buyers in Australia (and I hope to be one) can thoroughly research their purchase. Anyway its probably good to start a thread now so we can keep tabs on the 169 over the next couple of years.
i have heard rumors that the 169 has been push to the back of the list as they are moving for with the 8c style like the mito as well as the detuned 8c production line and the 8c spider has anyone else heard this
In looking at the current posts on this site and info (or lack of it on the web), it would appear that the MITo is of course ready to go for 2009, followed by the 149.
Speculation or fact - the 149 will be a 4 door only as the MI TO is a 2 door.
Then an update for the 159 which is a bit overdue. Much talk about this for the US market return.
So the 169 is last on the list. Much speculation as to who will provide the platform for a V6 & V8 with a de dion rear axel.
Who knows, but the Arese plant is closed for renovation and instalation of the latest equipment.
Regards.

I wonder if they will tap into the Chrysler catalog for some content to help the push into the US market?
