Title: Roundtail (Duetto) owner new to forum
Post by: Roundtail on April 11, 2009, 09:59:01 PM
Hi, I've just started to get my 1969 Roundtail Spider out of mothballs and I thought I'd seek a bit of help.
I've been through a few Alfa's over the past 15 years and just have the Spider left.
I'm living in Coffs Harbour, but previously spent a decade in Canberra and have fond memories of Auto Italia.

Previous Alfas:

1979 Alfasud with twincarb
1982 Alfasud Sprint Turbo

I shared my Dad's interest in Alfa's growing up - he had a 1980 Sud, a 1978 Alfetta 1.8, a 1970 2L 105 and a 1961 Giulietta Spider (and hopefully about to purchase a 147 GTA).

Anyway, I'll direct my questions in the technical section.

Here's a pic of my white Roundtail 1750, and my Dads previous '61 Giulietta Spider.

Thanks for having me  ;)

Welcome to the list. I'm only a junior list member myself, but like yourself have been around Alfas for quite a few years.

Both your Dad's Giulietta Spider and your Duetto are lovely looking cars - shame they are at a FIAT meet ;)

I could easily see either, or both, parked in my garage ;D

Thanks Chris, the shot was taken at Auto Italia in Canberra in '04. The organizers place cars in sections and from memory we had other spiders including Fiats in our group. A nice big Serpent and Cross logo in the background would have been nicer  ;D

Lombardi, even I could understand that! Cheers.

Auto Italia - that's OK :)

I can see another white Duetto reflected in your Dad's paintwork and I must admit the X1/9s (next to your car) are also a heap of fun.
