Hi all,
Woundering how you can tell the engine capacity on a 24V (visually externally), is it from the engine number, or is there a stamp on it like the 12V.
Thanks
Dave
Hi Dave
My engine number doesn't give any indication of capacity, nor do any of the other numbers on any of the various plates and labels around the engine bay. I can't see a stamp on the engine itself but I did just check it in a poorly-lit underground carpark, will have a look in better light and let you know.
Cheers
Rory
Thanks,
I appreciate that.
Dave
Another similar thread "Engine Number GTA" started by Brad Marshall. Suggest a quick look, might help out
Sorry Dave, haven't had a chance to do this yet - will get back to you this weekend.
Hi Dave
I located the engine number on the block but there's nothing within that number which - as far as I can see - indicates the engine capacity.
Sorry, hopefully someone else can shed some light on this.
Cheers
Rory
The code on the engine does indicate capacity. If you include the first 7 characters from the engine number it might help ;)

Thanks guys,
wouldn't happen to know what a 2.5L 156 engine # starts with.
Thanks again
