I found this alfa for sale on this site, never seen this model.
With motor 2000 c.c., with 150 hp, not bad for an Alfa Romeo.
Alfa Romeo GTV Turbo delta, 3.500 EUR, Lisboa - Standvirtual (http://www.standvirtual.com/carros/Alfa-Romeo/GTV/P1771937/)
There are a few simiar vehicles in Auistralia but not often for sale. Rare they may be.
An unfinished project was for sale a few years ago on the net. Seemed to be an original and fellow Alfisti almost bought one from a 2nd hand car dealer about 12 years ago.
If anybody knows the whereabouts of the one and only steel bumpered Turbodelta that was in Oz in '81, please shoot me a line!
Can't help you with the one in Oz, but I do know where the one in NZ resides. Can confirm from watching it pull away from me on the track that's it's a bit nippy too ;)
Rory

Thanks
Dave

Interesting comment Rory.
QuoteI know he's spoken with Autodelta about his car and they were delighted to hear from him, he'd be quite happy to share info with you.
I assume that this was quite some time ago as I would assume that Autodelta ceased operation when their racing team was disbandoned ? Is that correct or do they still have a 'desk' in Fiat HQ or with Alfa Romeo ?
Hi John
Not sure to be quite honest - I remember the conversation with him and have recounted it accordingly, maybe my recollection isn't that clear. I know he did speak with people involved in the development and/or production of the car, whether that was the Autodelta operation itself or people who formerly worked there I'm not sure. He spoke of the enthusiastic response he got from them, seems they had received very little contact from other owners and were very pleased to have an update on one of their special vehicles.
The facts about the owner and the car are nevertheless correct. As far as 'splashing it over the internet' goes, I guess that's my judgement call based on my relationship with the owner, but fair enough, happy to remove it if people feel it's inappropriate.
Sheldon, you'll need to do the same since you've quoted my post, if you'd be so kind.
Cheers.
Rory
