Greetings all.
Hopefully the membership committee will approve my application soon and I'll be a paid up member of the Vic Division. I was previously a member back in the 80's. Sheesh...where has the time gone?
My first ALFA was a delightful GT Junior, which I bought when I was 22. The car was used and enjoyed every day and was even used to cart my first born in a capsule in the back seat. Some parents raise their children to the sound of sweet rhythms and melodies of music. Our child was indoctrinated to the sweet sound of twin DCOE side draft Webers. Mmmmmm.....
I now have two ALFAs. A 1970 105 GTV and a 159 (FIAT) ALFA ;)
In January I had the privilege to be in Europe so I thought I'd treat myself to an excursion to the Museo Storico in Milan. I was bitterly disappointed when I got there to find it "closed for renovations". I certainly hope that one of the Italian cultural organisations or government agencies places the collection under some sort of heritage protection before the bean counters at FIAT can't resist the temptation to liquidate it, or before it falls into a state of neglect.
Anyhow, I look forward to participating in the forum and in club functions.
Ciao for now
LR
Welcome! If you have a chance, please post some photos of your cars for our viewing pleasure? Hope to see you at a club night or a sunday run.

This is sad to hear - I'd heard bits and pieces on the AlfaBB but wasn't sure what the current state is. We went over in Oct 2010 and it was open then, but clearly ailing as the roof was leaking and during the rain storms that season many cars had to be moved into the basement to be protected. There was a big noise last year and a petition to stop Fiat from breaking up the museo, sounds like that was stopped but Fiat has temporarily closed the museo indefinitely. >:(
Pardon the time to post. Here are some happy snaps of the GTV.
I'll bring it out for a club event soon :)
Welcome Luna Rossa!
Beautiful looking GTV. Is it Periwinkle Blue? Have you had it for long?
