New South Wales / Alfas in Mudgee on Friday 18 O...

I saw a lovely looking Red Alfasud at the Cudgegong caravan park  when driving to work on Friday and heard there were a number of others parked opposite the post office with one maybe broken down.
I assume they were heading to Sydney for Concorso?
I wonder where they were all coming from?

Hi All,

This is the most amazing thread! I have a 2006 3.2 Q4 which has had all the problems outlined in this thread.

Overheating exhaust,
Burnt coil packs
Timing chain replaced

Without going into unrelated areas, I ended up having my mechanic replace the cam shafts while changing the timing chain. I am currently researching whether it is possible for a standard dyno tune shop to be able to work with this model.

Thanks for all the amazing info!

Cheers
Andrew

General Discussion / Help with Weber 45s in Canberr...
Last post by NigelC - October 20, 2024, 07:35:52 AM
I'm looking for some help setting up the Weber 45s in my Group S Alfetta. I've had some head work done and now I need to check and potentially re-jet my carburetors and am struggling to find someone near Canberra who can do this.

Same as pbhawkin, had both those accounts ask,

"hello, are you still looking for the above item, you can get in contact with peter on peternillsmith@outlook.com"
"hello, are you still looking for the above item? contact jeff.millard27@outlook.com to inquire if it's still available."

Might be a little more convincing if they don't send these messages a minute apart.

Another two.
Mronnie and kennedyronnie34
Both zero posts and both signed up today.
Each sent the same/similar message:
"hello, are you still looking for the above item? contact jeff.millard27@outlook.com to inquire if it's still available." And
"hello, are you still looking for the above item, you can get in contact with peter on peternillsmith@outlook.com if still available."

Dunno if this is possible - but can you thread a length of stiff wire through it and use that to guide it all the way back up?

Hi Rex

Just fit the new springs without the Spacers and evaluate.

Evaluate means,,which side is lower than the other.
If one side is 7 or 10 mm lower,,add the shim to that side.

Victoria / Looking for registration histo...
Last post by davelim8850 - October 17, 2024, 11:54:09 AM
Looking for the registration history of a red (from factory til now) Alfa 33(905) 1.5 QV (1985). Bought it from a guy in MOrdialloc who had it for quite awhile ( never registered it) and had bought it himself as an unregistered/dereg car from an elderly chap called John (now deceased). Car was supposedly registered in VIctoria at some stage in its long life; but records using the VIN and engine number not found in VIcRoads. Pur.Sang (now Maranello Pur.Sang) cant find records unless I have the original registration number. Their dealer sticker is on the rear windscreen. ANy clues appreciated.
